Nurse in Special Care Nursery

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Special Care Nursery team at Prince of Wales Private Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to newborns and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient and newborn care.
- Provide a standard of care according to the individual's level of experience and education, maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment.
- Develop and utilize strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.
- Work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care, promoting beneficial relationships.
- When required, work on other wards in the Hospital.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Minimum of 3 years Neonatal nursing level 2 nursery experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery
- Working with Children check (if relevant)
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- Postgraduate qualifications in Neonatal nursing (or working towards)
