We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Special Care Nursery team at Prince of Wales Private Hospital.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse in our Special Care Nursery, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to newborns and their families. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient and newborn care.
  • Providing a standard of care according to the individual's level of experience and education, maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment.
  • Developing and utilizing strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.
  • Working in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care promoting beneficial relationships.
  • When required, working on other wards in the Hospital.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of 3 years Neonatal nursing level 2 nursery experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery.
  • Working with Children check (if relevant).
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care.
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Works well independently and within a team.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Neonatal nursing (or working towards).
