We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Special Care Nursery team at Prince of Wales Private Hospital.
About the Role:As a Registered Nurse in our Special Care Nursery, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to newborns and their families. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient and newborn care.
- Providing a standard of care according to the individual's level of experience and education, maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment.
- Developing and utilizing strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.
- Working in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care promoting beneficial relationships.
- When required, working on other wards in the Hospital.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Minimum of 3 years Neonatal nursing level 2 nursery experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery.
- Working with Children check (if relevant).
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care.
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Works well independently and within a team.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Neonatal nursing (or working towards).
