Healthscope is on the lookout for Registered Nurses or Midwives to join our Special Care Nursery on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis, with a sign-on bonus available for successful candidates.

Our Women's Health Unit includes antenatal, postnatal, intrapartum care, gynecology, and a level 2 special care nursery. Our dynamic team is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and service to women and their families.
Current Developments
Healthscope is investing in its future with a significant redevelopment initiative, which includes the addition of 4 new operating theatres, a purpose-built pre-admission area, a new sterilizing department, and enhanced facilities to better serve our growing community.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse/Midwife in the Special Care Nursery, your duties will include:
- Delivering quality nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual patient and newborn care.
- Providing care that aligns with the individual's experience and education, ensuring high standards within a safe environment.
- Creating and utilizing strategies that foster effective communication.
- Collaborating with patients and families in decision-making regarding care provision to promote beneficial relationships.
- Assisting in other wards as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Current registration with AHPRA.
- Clinical skills and motivation to uphold excellence in patient care and customer service.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or Special Care Nursery/Newborn Postnatal care.
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
