We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse or Midwife to join our Special Care Nursery team at Nepean Private Hospital.
About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse or Midwife in our Special Care Nursery, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to newborns and their families. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient and newborn care
- Providing a standard of care according to the individual's level of experience and education, maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment
- Developing and utilizing strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication
- Working in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care, promoting beneficial relationships
- When required, working on other wards in the hospital
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Clinical skills and motivation to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service
- A minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or Special Care Nursery/Newborn Postnatal care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
