Job Overview

As a Cross Platform Journalist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality news stories and features across various platforms.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and produce engaging content that centres and elevates First Nations voices and perspectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous communities and organisations nationwide.
  • Contribute to the development of original ideas and pitches for news and current affairs content.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced communication skills and experience in journalism and/or media broadcasting.
  • Understanding of camera, sound, and editing systems is highly valued.
  • Ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and understand Indigenous Cultural Protocol.
  • Strong networking and collaboration skills, with a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel for breaking news coverage and significant events.
