About the Role

As a Cross-Platform Journalist/Producer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and pitching ideas for original content that meet the needs of our audience.
  • Collaborating with our team to produce engaging and informative content that showcases the diversity of Australian society.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date knowledge of current events and issues affecting Indigenous communities.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • Advanced communication skills and proven experience in journalism and/or media broadcasting.
  • An understanding of camera, sound, and editing systems is highly valued.
  • A deep understanding of Indigenous Cultural Protocol and the ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • The ability to work as part of a small team with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude and to work under pressure to meet strict broadcast deadlines.
