**About the Role**

The Head of Indigenous News and Current Affairs will be a key member of our Senior Leadership team, responsible for leading the Indigenous News and Current Affairs branch. This role requires a deep understanding of the dynamic and constantly changing Indigenous media landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive planning, decision making, and execution to achieve the objectives of the Indigenous News and Current Affairs Branch.">
  • Overseeing the commissioning and output for all news and current affairs platforms.">
  • Defining the overall editorial direction, ensuring that output meets editorial standards, is fair and balanced, builds trust with audiences, and is aligned to the SBS Charter/NITV Charter.">
  • Navigating the rapidly changing news and media environment and responding to new challenges.">
