A typical day involves:

  • Welcoming late arrivals and early departures with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Addressing guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, aiming to provide outstanding customer service while assisting guests with special needs.
  • Conducting Night Audit procedures, including handling cash and credit card transactions according to compliance requirements.
  • Supporting customer reservations and billing inquiries.
  • Ensuring effective delivery of In-room Dining services during overnight hours.
  • Assisting with Front Office projects and coverage as directed by the FOM.
  • Overseeing the performance of night shift staff, including front desk agents, security personnel, and other night staff members.
  • Providing guidance, training, and support to ensure team members perform their duties effectively.
  • Verifying all financial and operational system information prior to running the night audit to guarantee accuracy.
  • Running the night audit after completing checks, ensuring a smooth completion.
  • Rolling no-show reservations accurately on PMS and handing over to Reservations.
  • Preparing and sending daily emails to the hotel EXCOM, including the daily briefing document, arrivals report, guest issues log, no-show report, and manager flash report.
  • Maintaining balanced team floats at the beginning and end of each shift, accurately banking cash, due backs, and closing cashiers.
  • Performing regular security patrols of the property and responding to security issues.
  • Assuming the Chief Warden role in case of an emergency, demonstrating a thorough understanding of crisis management procedures.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • 2 years of front desk/guest service leader experience.
  • Basic mathematics skills.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with additional languages being advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, reasoning, and motivational skills.
  • The ability to work long periods standing in front desk areas and occasionally lift heavy items.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems like Opera is beneficial.
  • A willingness to work evenings and weekends.

We offer competitive salaries that reflect our guests' expectations. Based on the location and job requirements, we estimate a salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum.
