Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Classroom Teacher to fill a specialist role in teaching Performing Arts (Year 7) and Theatre (Year 8) with the possibility of teaching a Year 10 Theatre Studies elective at our Wheelers Hill Campus on a part-time fixed-term basis.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement flexible programs tailored to individual students' needs after thorough initial assessments.
- Create engaging learning experiences that incorporate cutting-edge technologies while demonstrating a deep understanding of how students learn and integrating Formative Assessment Techniques.
- Evaluate personal teaching programs incorporating feedback from students and assessment data to inform future planning.
- Design and deliver conceptually driven student-centered learning activities.
- Maintain high expectations to create a safe and supportive classroom environment.
- Provide continuous feedback within established timelines.
- Demonstrate alignment with the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviors.
- Proven experience teaching middle years students.
- A genuine passion for the Performing Arts and a positive can-do attitude.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to collaborate effectively in a small team and contribute to achieving Learning Area goals.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- An interest in co-curricular aspects and an ability to contribute to developing the Performing Arts/Theatre curriculum would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with the IB philosophy and Approaches to Teaching would be beneficial.
- A valid Teaching Qualification alongside exceptional knowledge and experience in Theatre or Theatrical Education.
- A current VIT Registration.
This position offers a competitive base salary of $65,000 - $90,000 annually and a generous 12% Superannuation package.
