Indigenous Art Curator Position at Monash University

About the Role
We are seeking a Curator, Indigenous Engagement to join our team of highly motivated professionals at Monash University Museum of Art.
The successful candidate will play a central role in the development and presentation of our artistic, collection, and education programs with a focus on projects involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and cultural practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop artistic programs, including co-curating exhibitions with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists.
- Liaise with artists, writers, and cognate academics to develop innovative pedagogical approaches and educational resources.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of cultural procedures, protocols, and guidelines to support program delivery.
Requirements
- High-level knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and creative practices.
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, participants, and audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
