About the Role
The Community Relations Advisor coordinates stakeholder and community engagement to support Beach’s projects and maintain regulatory and social approval. The role includes relationship management, supporting site activities, maintaining the stakeholder management system, and may require travel to operational locations in Victoria.
Key responsibilities
- Building and nurturing relationships with landholders, community groups, local government, and operational contractors.
- Taking ownership of our stakeholder management system (CRM), ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance. You’ll conduct regular audits, collaborate with our CRM provider, and develop training materials for the team.
- Coordinating meetings, managing feedback and complaints, and supporting community programs and events. Your organisational skills will keep projects running smoothly and ensure timely regulatory reporting.
- Working closely with project teams to deliver engagement opportunities, preparing tailored presentations, and contributing to strategic responses for emerging issues.
About You
We are seeking candidates with proven experience in community engagement, ideally within a similar sector, who possess excellent written communication abilities and a keen eye for detail. Advanced interpersonal skills are crucial, enabling calm and confident consultations with a variety of stakeholders.
We value an enthusiastic, proactive, and confident approach, as well as the capacity to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities. Demonstrated ability with database systems experience managing CRM platforms is essential.
The successful applicant will be willing to travel to regional communities, hold a current valid driver's license, and preferably with tertiary qualifications in community, public or stakeholder relations, media, or a related field.
