At Medibank, we know our greatest potential lies in the people who work with us. We strive to make real, fundamental change, driven by a simple purpose: to create the best health and wellbeing for all of Australia.
The Opportunity
We are on the lookout for a Workplace Relations Advisor to join our People, Culture and Sustainability team in this permanent part time role (0.8 FTE).
This role sits within a supportive, dynamic team and will provide strategic, expert advice across a wide range of workplace and industrial relations matters including:

- employment contracts
- acquisitions and divestments
- case management
- internal employee investigations
- legislative and award interpretation
- WR representational work at external tribunals including the Fair Work Commission and discrimination tribunals
This is a role with variety, pace, and impact — you’ll work across the business, solving complex problems and influencing outcomes that matter. We value fresh thinking, adaptability, and a willingness to challenge traditional approaches.
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Strong experience in IR/WR within a large organisation
- Practical, open-minded approach to complex issues
- Familiarity with the Fair Work Act and modern awards
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- A practical, adaptive and open-minded approach
- Fresh thinking aligned with evolving work practices
Why Medibank?
We’re passionate about health and wellbeing — for our customers and our people. That means flexibility in how and where you work, plus the opportunity for you to join a team that’s currently trialling a 4-day work week (including part-timers) to give you more time to focus on what matters most outside of work.
Imagine a workplace where work didn't feel like work. A workplace where you could shape when and where you work to have more impact. Where flexible working isn’t a buzzword, it’s a reality.
