Overview
This role combines responsibilities from contracts and tender management with strategic portfolio and account management. RCM will lead hospital contracting and tender submissions, develop joint business plans with key accounts, and drive patient access and commercial growth across public and private healthcare channels. The role requires strong commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement, and a deep understanding of the Australian pharmaceutical landscape.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end hospital contracts and tender submissions.
- Coordinate internal communications and stakeholder alignment for tender readiness.
- Review tender documentation and manage internal dissemination of relevant information.
- Lead pricing approval processes and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships with procurement personnel from government and customer accounts.
- Track and monitor contract performance and compliance.
- Identify and prioritize strategic accounts including hospitals, pharmacies, and non-traditional channels.
- Develop and execute joint business plans tailored to strategic accounts.
- Establish cross-divisional partnerships with pharmacy chains and networks.
- Support local state tender activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Drive patient access through innovative partnership models with specialized pharmacy accounts.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Medical, Legal, and other teams.
- Contribute to commercial product and portfolio strategies through One Impact Planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, MA Code, and regulatory standards.
- Report adverse events promptly in accordance with company procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business, Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical contracts, tenders, or commercial management.
- Expert knowledge of the Australian tendering process and PBS framework.
- Extensive network across hospital customer accounts and procurement personnel.
- High commercial acumen and financial literacy.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and business intelligence platforms (e.g., IQVIA, Nostradata, PBS10%).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
