Regional Australia Bank is on an exciting growth journey — expanding our Business Banking capability to better serve customers and communities across regional NSW.

We're seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Business Banking to lead this evolution and strengthen our position as the bank for all Regional Australians.

About the Role

Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the Head of Business Banking is a key senior leader responsible for the Commercial and Agribusiness portfolios and for leading a team of Senior Business Development Managers and Lending Support professionals.

Building on a strong foundation, this role focuses on expanding our reach, growing market share, and developing team capability, while ensuring excellence in financial performance, customer outcomes, and portfolio quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for Business Banking across Commercial and Agribusiness lending.
  • Drive sustainable portfolio growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and strengthen team capability, foster engagement, coaching, and professional development.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities through data analysis and market insights.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, industry stakeholders, and partners to position Regional Australia Bank as a trusted financial partner.
  • Partner with senior leaders across the organisation to align business banking with broader customer strategies and service models.
  • Maintain robust governance, credit quality, and compliance with all regulatory and risk management standards.

About You

You are a seasoned banking leader with deep expertise across Commercial and Agribusiness lending and a genuine passion for supporting regional customers and communities. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and have the acumen to deliver results in a competitive environment.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience leading business, commercial, or agribusiness banking functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow portfolios while maintaining credit quality and compliance.
  • Strong analytical capability and confidence in data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven leadership in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Strategic mindset and capacity to identify opportunities, present business cases, and deliver strategic priorities.
