The Role
As the business realigns for its next chapter of growth, an opportunity for a growth-focused Commercial Sales Director has now arisen. Reporting directly into the APAC Managing Director, this pivotal role will see the successful appointee achieve increased market share; driving revenue and margin growth in line with the organisation's objectives.
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive regional and divisional sales strategies that align with overarching product line and corporate objectives, ensuring cohesive market positioning and sustained revenue growth.
- Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities across new and existing markets, channels, and customer segments, ensuring all initiatives align with the company's strategic objectives and long-term vision.
- Translate product and marketing strategies into actionable sales initiatives, creating detailed plans for pipeline development, territory prioritisation, and customer acquisition to deliver on business targets.
Sales Performance Management & Forecasting
- Establish and manage sales performance frameworks, incorporating forecasting, KPI tracking, and analytics to monitor progress against financial and operational goals.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts and performance reports, providing insights that inform strategic decision-making, resource allocation, and product focus.
- Drive accountability across all sales regions and teams, ensuring consistency of execution, disciplined pipeline management, and achievement of quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets.
Leadership, Coaching & Team Development
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing sales organisation including Regional Sales Managers, Territory Sales Managers, Channel Managers, and Key Account Managers.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, performance excellence, and professional growth, providing mentoring, skill development opportunities, and clear performance feedback.
- Align team structures and capabilities to support evolving market requirements, ensuring succession planning and talent readiness across all key roles.
- Build on a culture of shared values and vision and further enshrine a high-performance culture, whilst maintaining the company's ethics and values driven ethos.
Revenue, Margin & Market Share Ownership
- Take full accountability for revenue, margin, and market share performance across assigned regions, channels, and product categories.
- Work with Product Leads to optimise pricing, and channel strategies to maintain profitability while maintaining competitive positioning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure commercial objectives are met or exceeded.
Relationship Management & Market Engagement
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key accounts, channel partners, and strategic customers, ensuring long-term partnerships that drive mutual growth.
- Develop partnership frameworks that support new channel entry, co-marketing initiatives, and sustainable business development opportunities.
- Represent the company as a senior commercial leader in key negotiations, trade events, and strategic customer interactions.

Your Profile
An experienced and credible commercial leader, you will have extensive experience in a strategic commercial leadership position. Bringing a demonstrable track record of success to the table, you will be an accomplished sales and commercial leader who can traverse the operational as well as the strategic. A hands-on leader with an approachable, open-door style, you will win and maintain the trust of your team and the wider business with the consistency and authenticity of your values-based leadership.
In addition, you should ideally be able to demonstrate experience within industries such as manufacturing, infrastructure & utilities or a related sector. Experienced and qualified, you will also ideally have some experience working within an international business in a senior sales or commercial leadership position.
In addition to this, you will be a commercially minded and solution focused individual with a strong work ethic and drive to succeed. Specifically, you should also be a leader who is able to demonstrate confidence and humility; with the ability to manage and develop those around you and inspire individuals to reach their full potential as you foster a culture of shared responsibilities and achievement of common goals.
