As a Specialist Inspector Mentor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that buildings meet the highest safety and compliance standards, while developing the team to produce high quality Inspection reports.

In this role, you will:

- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of specialist inspectors across building disciplines.
- Oversee complex inspections, investigations, and compliance activities.
- Provide technical expertise and authoritative guidance on regulatory requirements and the National Construction Code.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of inspection frameworks, policies, and processes that improve compliance outcomes.
- Engage with stakeholders, practitioners, and industry bodies to influence best practice and uphold community confidence in the sector.

About You

We are seeking a collaborative Inspector and subject matter expert who brings:

- Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying or Inspecting, with at least IN-U registration.
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory inspections and/or technical investigations.
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and guide Inspectors.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A sound understanding of the Building Act, Building Regulations, and National Construction Code.
