Position Description
You will serve as a Quality Control Inspector/ Site Quality Lead in the Quality Control Division, Compliance and Quality Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will be serving as a mentor and technical advisor to junior QCI personnel and provides technical review and certification of quality investigations.
- You will coordinate directly with customers, external suppliers, and higher authorities on product quality issues, investigation outcomes, and policy interpretations.
- You will provide briefings to leadership on critical quality issues and systemic process improvements affecting the site's programs
- You will Identify, assess, and manage program risks.
- You will develop mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and corrective action paths to minimize impact to program performance.
- You will perform analysis by reviewing sketches, engineering drawings and data, pertinent specifications, and available equipment to identify characteristics critical to product acceptability.
- You will conduct inspections and audits of materials, products, processes, and services for conformance to specifications and requirements.
- You will analyze data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in the quality or verification program
