Job Description

As Payroll Team Lead, you'll play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing day-to-day payroll operations across a complex, high-volume environment. The Payroll Team Lead will be a key liaison between the team and leadership, driving performance, mentoring staff, resolving escalations, and supporting strategic projects and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a high-performing payroll team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.

- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities.

- Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, awards, and tax obligations.

- Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.

- Support audits, reconciliations, and year-end processes.

- Engage with stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Operations.

The Successful Applicant

- 2+ years in a payroll leadership role within a complex, high-volume environment.

- Advanced knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance.

- Strong experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- A strong leader who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment.
