Newly created, permanent full-time opportunity - Work close to home in the northern suburbs - Up to $95,000 plus Super **THE COMPANY** Melbourne headquartered Construction company with a 30+ year heritage. **THE OPPORTUNITY** Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Payroll Officer will join a small ensuring timely and accurate payroll production for 1000+ employees across a weekly and (mostly) fortnightly pay cycle including: - Monthly Superannuation and Payroll Tax lodgments - Posting costs to General Ledger - Single Touch Payroll lodgment - Maintenance of employee records including updating of rates, classifications and employee master data - Employee onboarding - Salary sacrifice - Maintain and support electronic timesheet software **POSITIVES** The role is newly created as a result of recent and anticipated growth of the business. The Senior Management team is very stable and promotes a culture of "family" and "empowerment", two of the organisation's key values. **CHALLENGES** The payroll can be quite complex and there are multiple entities to apportion costs to. The payroll software is very specific to the industry sector (but you will be fully supported in terms of training and development). **IDEAL APPLICANTS** You'll reside in the northern suburbs and are seeking a role close to home.
