At Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional childcare services throughout Melbourne and its surroundings. Established in Victoria in 2017, we currently have 34 operational services and a pipeline of a further 80 centres to be rolled out over the next three years across Victoria, Western Australia, and New South Wales.

The Opportunity

Join our friendly Payroll Team, where your role will be crucial in delivering efficient payroll services and supporting our diverse portfolio of centres. This role also involves managing critical payroll compliance functions, including WorkCover claims and processes, making it an integral part of supporting the health and safety of our workforce.

About You

- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in similar payroll roles, including end-to-end payroll for 1000+ employees
- Experience using Employment Hero (or similar) software
- Strong understanding of WorkCover processes and obligations
- Ability to consistently meet regular deadlines and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Ability to communicate proactively and work collaboratively with the Payroll Team, Accounts Team, and Centre staff
- Accounting experience desired, but not essential

Responsibilities

- Processing payroll transactions efficiently on a fortnightly/monthly basis for a team of 1000+ staff members, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets and leave applications
- Managing WorkCover claims, including monitoring, and reconciliation of payments to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Generating weekly reports on centre hours for the director and operations manager
- Conducting monthly and annual reconciliations of key payroll accounts, including superannuation, WorkCover, parental leave, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) requirements
- Support the Payroll Team Leader in reviewing and overseeing payroll processing and end of month reconciliation and reporting
