Overview
What is important about this role? This role requires a strong understanding of human resources and industrial relations frameworks, particularly the application and interpretation of Modern Awards. In addition to end-to-end payroll processing, the role supports the compliance team with compliance reviews and audits to ensure adherence to employment legislation.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience running end-to-end payroll, ideally for multiple business units.
- Strong knowledge of industrial relations, modern award interpretation and employee entitlements under Australian employment law.
- Experience handling payroll-related employee queries with a client-focused approach.
- High level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
Technical expectations
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Hands-on experience with multiple payroll systems, particularly Xero and Employment Hero.
- Ability to extract and analyse payroll data to support audits and reporting.
