Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Sector Sales Manager to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain contact with customers and ensure Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions products are specified.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Identify design consultants and engineering contractors involved in projects, maintaining close contact to make us their preferred pump choice.
- Identify upcoming projects and promote the use of Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions specifications.
- Update your manager and relevant team members on project progress through discussions to maintain and advance projects.
- Arrange and conduct customer training and presentations, either on-site or in-office.
- Provide feedback on potential product improvements and complaints, especially where new applications offer greater potential.
- Increase market share by replacing other pump types and competitors' peristaltic pumps.
- Keep your manager and team updated on competitor activities.
- Identify, organize, and progress field trials.
- Lead marketing activities to maintain our brand and explore new opportunities.
- Update CRM with all customer activities.
- Conduct activities in accordance with the Quality Management System.
- Attend selected exhibitions and provide market reports/trends.
Skills/Experience:
- Ability to lead, communicate, and foster relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Fault finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to work independently within procedural guidelines.
Education and Experience:
- Formal engineering qualifications or strong business background.
- Experience in the fluid handling industry (pumps) and industrial sector preferred.
- Minimum 4-5 years in a business development/sales role.
- Proficient in English reading and writing.
Additional Qualifications:
- Negotiation skills.
- Results and growth orientation.
- Strong writing skills.
- Data analysis skills.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
- Experience with ERP systems.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel nationally within Australia and internationally for training and conferences.
