Now, after almost 27 years in the making, we have officially opened one of the biggest beauty destinations in the world. At 4000sqm, our new Bourke St Flagship is not only the largest of our 100+ stores but set to become a landmark destination for the city, and a total beauty wonderland for all who visit. Bourke St is brimming with over 200 brands, 80 exciting new experiences and beauty services, as well as unique product curations and never-seen-before MECCA destinations. From clinical skin services to a Beauty Atelier, the biggest MECCA Perfumeria, an auditorium for MECCAVersity, an Apothecary, and an entire mezzanine dedicated to gifting, this is MECCA’s vision for the future of beauty brought to life.

Introducing a brand-new role at MECCA Bourke St the Events and Activations Manager will lead Flagship events, and partner with top brands and stakeholders to drive exceptional customer experience. They’ll manage end-to-end event execution, from planning and production to delivery and analysis, all while fostering a dynamic, positive workplace culture that embodies MECCA’s values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the seamless execution of events and activations, ensuring each one exceeds delivery expectations and captivates our customers.
- Mentor and empower the Concierge Manager and Concierge team to create a welcoming and effortless customer journey, from navigation to booking and support.
- Guide the Auditorium Manager and team in delivering unparalleled educational experiences that leave a lasting impact on our customers.
- Partner with renowned brands, founders, and representatives to bring extraordinary brand events to life.
- Collaborate with the store leadership team to curate engaging and insightful team meetings that reflect the unique spirit of our MECCA Bourke St store.
- Ensure every event is meticulously planned with clear objectives, well-defined stakeholder roles, streamlined communication, and efficient processes to achieve outstanding results.
Key Skills
- Experience delivering world-class immersive experiences for customers, brands, and key partners across whole store touchpoints
- Extensive knowledge of events and brand activations including experience design, activation infrastructure builds, AV and production, event admin, OH+S and risk management skills
- You can operate with agility and deliver best-in-class outcomes in a dynamic environment
- You can use critical thinking and partnership when applying decision-making matrix to complex problems
- Proven track record of ensuring the profitability of event and activations by maximizing customer spend, optimizing team rostering, and ensuring efficient delivery
