**About the role**:
The Events and Activations Liaison Officer is a key role within the organisation and is responsible for providing a holistic approach to event and activation projects across the City.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for planning and coordination to map out community events across Council
- Identify opportunities for development and partnerships
- Identify and deliver opportunities that support community led neighbourhood events and activations
- Provide advice and support to recipients of Council’s events grants throughout the funding process
- Contribute to organisational-wide projects that require specialist advice and input on high profile events and community activations.
- Establish and maintain a register of municipal wide venues and spaces suitable for events and broader activation.
- Liaise with and work collaboratively across the organisation to add value to other place-based initiatives, neighbourhood pilot projects and events that activate community hubs.
- Lead the development and delivery of designated event and activation projects.

**Requirements Include**:

- Demonstrated event and project management experience
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of event industry standards including managing risk management & logistics
- Demonstrated experience in engaging and supporting the community to build capacity in the delivery of events and cultural projects
- Demonstrated skills in research and development of project plans
- Proven experience in writing effective reports and preparing external correspondence
