Position: Senior Customer Service Officer

Location: East Perth

Duration: Fixed term, full-time, commencing January 2026 up to end of June 2027.

The Teacher Registration Directorate covers three branches. Its role is to support the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia by providing secretariat services and ensuring teachers are registered and programs accredited.

The Role

The Senior Customer Service Officer provides high‑quality administrative, reception and clerical support in a busy call centre environment. Key responsibilities include:

- Managing incoming calls and emails, responding to customer enquiries.

- Completing data entry tasks and preparing correspondence.

- Overseeing financial transactions: invoicing, receipting and payment processing.

- Maintaining and balancing onsite cash holdings, reconciling incoming payments and completing weekly banking processes.

- Providing accurate regulatory and legislative guidance as per the Teacher Registration Act 2012 and TRBWA policies and procedures.

- Providing support for criminal history checks, including interviews and related administrative tasks.

Eligibility

- Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or valid visa with relevant work rights for the term.

- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and hold current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before start.
