About the Role
As a Support Coordinator, you will work in a trauma informed way to support clients across our family services area. The focus of work is to support clients in crisis who are escaping domestic violence at our women's refuge in the Perth Metro area.
This is a full-time permanent position, working 76 hours per fortnight.
What we’re looking for
The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:
- Must be female*
- Understanding of Family and Domestic Violence and the primary drivers of violence against women, including intersectionality.
- Relevant qualifications in a related discipline at degree, diploma, or certificate level/less formal qualification with work or lived experience to perform sufficiently at this level/or demonstrated work experience at the level.
- Personal goal planning skills that contribute to the achievement of client goals in line with the Model of Care.
- Skills in reflective practice and highly developed report writing using analytical reasoning.
- Ability to support, mentor and work alongside supporting staff members.
- Advanced computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and client reporting system.
- Ability to engage and maintain professional relationships with clients, and their wider formal and informal supports, with multiple needs and challenges.
- Demonstrated understanding of complex issues facing people who experience chaotic life circumstances such as homelessness, AOD use, family/domestic violence and mental health issues.
- Willingness and ability to work within and contribute to the vision, mission, core values and the guiding principles of the organisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of diversity, gender and social inclusion, particularly Aboriginal culture.
It is a genuine occupational qualification of this position to be female in accordance with section 27 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984.

- A salary aligned with Level 4 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award), starting at $88,372.
- 5 weeks annual leave+ 17.5% annual leave loading.
