About our role
We have an exciting opportunity currently for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Simplot. Based in our office in Mentone. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, 37.5 hours per week.
Working within a close-knit team, in this role you will efficiently ensure the processing of orders through our 3PL partners and coordinate transport movements of finished goods from 3PL’s / Distribution Centres to our Customers.
Experience within the Retail transport sector will be viewed favourably as a big focus of this role is process adherence / review, high levels of direct stakeholder/relationship building and efficient movement of orders through to the ultimate Customer.
What you will do
- Ensure all OH&S, COR and legislative requirements are adhered to at all times.
- Assist with efficient Customer responses to issues.
- Participate in the review process of all current SOP’s.
- Identify new SOP’s to be developed to improve efficiencies to deliver increased profitability through process improvement.
- Develop and implement change to improve process of orders and delivery of finished goods.
- Monitor order flows and highlight areas of improvement.
- Create and maintain internal/external relationships to ensure efficient and effective order processing / deliveries.
- Produce Operational KPI’s to support logistics with service levels of 3PL and Freight suppliers.
- Claim investigation understanding and POD collation.
About you
- An excellent knowledge of supply chain in particular 3PL warehouse, transport networks, and logistics processes.
- Ideally experienced within the Retail transport sector.
- Exposure to ERP Software, particularly JDE and/or SAP.
- Project management understanding and experience.
- The ability to influence change and drive process improvement through collaborative team environments.
- Microsoft Office suite (intermediate Excel, Outlook).
