About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our clients Perth office for an initial 12-month fixed term contract, with the potential of extension. This is a hands-on and varied role that spans both project accounting and management accounting, while also supporting broader commercial decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and report on project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cost tracking and variance analysis

- Partner with project managers to develop budgets and financial models ensuring accurate cost allocations

- Prepare for and support project audits to ensure compliance requirements are upheld

- Prepare management reports including, P&L, balance sheet, cashflow analysis, and support month-end/year-end close

- Conduct analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and support operational improvements

- Assistant in training and supporting the finance team as required

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, presenting financial insights in a clear, actionable way ensuring financial transparency

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or finance related studies.

- Extensive experience in project or management accounting.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail

- Current CPA, CA or CMA qualification or working towards

- Candidates with a background in project accounting within manufacturing or infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.

- Ability and willingness for occasional interstate travel (with notice) will be required.
