An established and growing business within the industrial services sector is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team. This pivotal role reports directly to the Finance Manager and oversees a small team of three (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Reception).

You'll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Complete end-of-month reporting, journals, and checks and balances.
  • Prepare management reports to assist with strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor three direct reports within the finance team.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis process.
  • Oversee payroll processing and timesheet reconciliation (once transitioned).
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.

About You

  • CPA or CA qualification required.
  • Proven experience in management accounting within a commercial environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Confident communicator with leadership capability and a proactive approach.
