This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth. This will be a permanent role on an 8 days on 6 days off roster, BIBO from Perth or DIDO option available.
About the role
As the Senior Site Surveyor, you will implement, maintain and manage the underground mine surveying activities and oversee statutory compliance across site including providing functional guidance to the open pit survey team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and ensure underground and open pit survey work is completed, including, but not limited to:
- Carry out survey tasks in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
- Survey and maintain accurate mine model updates.
- Stope void survey (CMS & Drone).
- Planned development – Includes preparing and issuing Development Memos to the Mining Department.
- Diamond Drill Collars and directions.
- Check surveys as the mine development advances.
- Calculation of End of Month Volumes and Advance.
- Provide the Underground Mining team with accurate information to prepare the weekly and monthly plan in a timely manner.
- Actively participate with the underground mining team to develop daily and weekly production plans and ensure that these plans are implemented and completed.
- Conduct surface surveys as required, including but not limited to:
- Stockpile and dump pickups.
- Surface excavation pickups.
- Surface prism monitoring.
About you
- Tertiary Qualification – Degree or Advanced Diploma in Surveying.
- Grade 1 Authorised Mine Surveyors Certificate.
- Competency in mine software package, preferably Deswik or Surpac.
- Relevant equipment experience Leica, Trimble, Optech, CMS and Drones.
- Familiarity with Windows packages including Word, Outlook, Excel.
- 2+ years Open Pit Survey experience.
- 3‑5+ years Underground Survey experience.
- Current WA Manual Drivers Licence.
