The Role
The successful applicant will ideally have experience in delivering a vibrant Media Arts program from Years 7 to 12. The applicant should be a committed, professional, and collaborative Arts Teacher. Applicants with excellent interpersonal and communication skills are highly desired as those attributes are integral to developing effective relationships with students, staff, and parents. The ability and/or willingness to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Media Production and Analysis and Certificate II Creative Industries would be highly regarded.
We are seeking a collaborative person who will promote Media Arts within the school and broader community. Ideally, you will be committed to professional development and continuous improvement to facilitate a best-practice approach towards teaching and learning while providing a rich, evidence-based curriculum.

Teachers and school administrators employed at Eaton Community College in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2,500 (pa, gross – pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible for the second payment. The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
Mobility and Equity
Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers allow eligible teachers to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment with a right of return to their substantive position. Note that south west teachers are not eligible to move to another south west school under this trial. Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
- apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number before you start
