ABOUT CANNINGTON Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. Cannington mine provides on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities. WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS 26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carers Ability to purchase up to 4 weeks of additional annual leave The opportunity to become a shareholder of South32 through our share plans 14% superannuation ABOUT THE ROLE This role is a permanent position on a 4:3 roster with the occasional requirement to extend this to an 8:6 roster to undertake Duty Manager responsibilities, FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville direct to the onsite airport. As the Supply Manager, you will lead the Cannington Supply team of 20 and represent Supply on the site leadership team. Oversee inventory planning, warehouse operations, and category management, plus manage land logistics contractors. Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: Ensure the safe and timely execution of all work through effective leadership and supervision of Supply employees and contractors. Ensures the application and effectiveness of controls to manage risk. Lead, coach, and mentor team members to ensure delivery against performance targets. Develop and oversee the execution of the annual Supply sourcing plan, supporting category specialists with key negotiations as required. Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal business leaders to understand and influence business objectives, plans, and requirements. ABOUT YOU You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: A true Supply generalist able to safely and effectively coach and lead all facets of supply. Significant experience in a Commercial/Supply Environment within Mining or Heavy Industry. Experienced in developing sourcing plans and participating in or leading negotiations, with demonstrated experience in operational supply processes. Proven at influencing and engaging stakeholders to drive business success and strengthen supplier relationships. Excel in collaborative engagement and fostering diverse, inclusive teams; skilled at presenting to senior executives and large groups. Qualifications for this position are: Bachelors degree or other post-secondary studies in Business, Commerce, Finance, Engineering or related disciplines.
