The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated RTO Administration Manager to lead the operational and administrative functions of a community services RTO in Melbourne. Reporting to the RTO Director, you will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, manage day-to-day operations, and support the delivery of culturally appropriate training programs that align with the organisation's mission and values.
Responsibilities
- RTO Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority) standards and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain accurate records, including student enrolments, assessments, and completion data in line with VET requirements.
- Prepare for and manage audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet regulatory standards.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee the administration of training programs, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with trainers and assessors.
- Manage student management systems (e.g., VETtrak or similar) to track learner progress and outcomes.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline RTO operations.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to support program delivery.
- Build and maintain relationships with funding bodies, government agencies, and industry partners.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and culturally safe work environment.
- Support professional development for team members to enhance RTO operations.
- Financial and Resource Management:
- Monitor budgets and financial performance of RTO programs.
- Manage resources, including training materials, facilities, and equipment, to ensure efficient operations.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in RTO administration or management, with a strong understanding of ASQA standards and VET sector requirements.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with student management systems (e.g., VETtrak) and compliance processes.
- Cultural Competency: Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, with a commitment to cultural safety and respect.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, business administration, or a related field. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) is highly desirable.
