Job Description
As Payroll Team Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day payroll operations across multiple entities. Reporting to the National Payroll Manager, you'll lead a team of Senior Payroll Officers and Payroll Officers, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery. You'll act as a key escalation point, drive process improvements, support system upgrades, and foster a high-performance, inclusive team culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, and mentor the payroll team to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing and ensure legislative compliance
- Manage reconciliations, reporting, and audit readiness
- Champion process improvement and automation initiatives
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to support system enhancements

You're a passionate payroll leader with experience in high-volume environments and a passion for team development. You bring strong technical knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, advanced payroll systems expertise, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. You thrive in collaborative settings and are committed to delivering a high-quality employee experience.
