About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Administration Officer (Level 3) to provide high-level administrative support in a busy and customer-focused environment. This role suits candidates who have previously worked in council, government, or large organisations, and who bring strong organisational and communication skills.
You’ll act as the central point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective workflow, accurate reporting, and consistent delivery of administrative services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced administration support including correspondence, document preparation, record management, and reporting.
- Assist with financial processing, project tasks, and general office coordination.
- Research and analyse information to prepare accurate and timely reports.
- Coordinate meetings, manage diaries, and support project-based activities.
- Supervise and support junior staff with training and task oversight.
- Ensure high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated administrative experience in council, government, or large organisations (highly regarded).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
- Ability to balance competing priorities, meet deadlines, and produce quality outputs.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Experience supervising or training staff is advantageous.
- Sound judgement, initiative, and attention to detail in managing sensitive information.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate III in Business Administration, Local Government, or equivalent experience.
- Current C Class driver’s licence.
- Ability to obtain or hold Justice of the Peace/Commissioner of Declarations (desirable).
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical is required.
What’s on Offer
- Hourly rate: $50.21 + super (PAYG) | $55.23 (ABN).
- Temporary full-time role (36.25 hours per week).
