About the role
Carinity is seeking a passionate and relational Community Development Coordinator to strengthen partnerships with Queensland Baptist (QB) churches and support community projects that make a real impact across the State.
Your day-to-day will involve
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with QB churches to support gospel-centred, community-based initiatives
- Coordinate and administer the Collaborative Community Projects (CCP) grants program, from applications to reporting
- Support churches with grant applications, funding agreements, and reporting compliance
- Organise and promote CCP conferences, network gatherings, and community engagement events
- Collect, analyse, and report outcome data, including success stories and transformation impact
- Collaborate across Carinity teams (finance, marketing, community services) to ensure effective delivery and promotion of community development programs
About you
You’ll be highly relational with a strong ability to connect with church leaders, volunteers, and community stakeholders. With compassion and a passion for community development, you’ll combine practical administration skills with the vision to foster missional culture across churches.
To be successful, you will have
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Ministry/Theology, Community Development, or related behavioural sciences
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and presentation
- Ability to manage grants, reporting, and compliance processes with accuracy
- Proven ability to foster collaboration and build sustainable partnerships
- Current Police Check, Blue Card (or willingness to obtain), and a valid driver’s licence
