About the role:

In this pivotal position you'll work alongside our General Manager, Residential Aged Care to support our homes across Queensland. You'll step in to provide leadership when Residential Managers are on leave, ensuring residents feel supported, staff are well guided, and daily operations run smoothly. Outside of relief coverage, you'll have the opportunity to take leadership of our daily life programs, champion person-centred care, and strengthen the systems that help our residents live well every day.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Leading and supporting Residential Aged Care teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
  • Providing interim management of homes, maintaining continuity of leadership and compliance
  • Supporting financial, workforce, and operational performance across homes
  • Being the daily life program expert and leader across all homes to guide our teams in creating positive, enriching and meaningful daily life experiences for our residents
  • Championing continuous improvement and quality standards, including preparation for audits and accreditation
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders

About you:

You are an experienced leader in aged care with a proven ability to drive person-centred care and promote continuous improvement across services. You bring operational expertise and sound decision making skills, ensuring homes remain compliant, efficient, and focused on resident wellbeing. With excellent communication skills, you foster strong and respectful relationships with staff, residents, and families. Your collaborative approach, combined with the ability to mentor and guide teams, enables you to build a positive workplace culture and deliver high quality outcomes.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, with current Ahpra registration
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in aged care, including leadership and operational management
  • Strong understanding of business drivers of residential aged care, aged care best practices, and Quality Standards
  • Flexibility and adaptability in working in different locations and with different people
  • A current driver's licence and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
