This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role that truly makes a difference. As Carinity's Education, Infection Prevention and Control Manager, you'll play a vital part in shaping the future of aged care across our services. You'll lead the development of innovative education programs that empower our workforce, while ensuring best-practice infection prevention and control measures are embedded every day.

As a member of our aged care leadership team, you'll provide expert guidance, inspire collaboration, and help our people deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care that meets the highest standards.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Leading the design, delivery, and evaluation of aged care education programs, including onboarding, mandatory training, and responsive workforce development.
  • Driving infection prevention and control programs, including outbreak management, auditing, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leading a team of 4 direct reports to deliver education to our teams across residential and community aged care services.
  • Providing expert leadership to managers, educators, and clinical teams, fostering collaboration and capability development.
  • Supporting accreditation and audit readiness through staff education, compliance monitoring, and policy implementation.
  • Building strong partnerships with stakeholders including Carinity leaders and external training providers to enhance service delivery.

About you:

You're a natural leader who is passionate about developing people, strengthening infection control practices, and driving excellence in aged care. You bring proven experience in leading change, education, project management, and clinical practice improvement, along with the confidence to influence and embed new ways of working across diverse teams. With your strong communication skills, you easily build meaningful relationships and produce clear, engaging materials that support learning and best practice. You thrive in dynamic environments and are motivated by the opportunity to make a real impact on the quality of care delivered every day.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Health Education, or a related field
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with a current AHPRA registration
  • At least 5 years' leadership experience in aged care with demonstrated success in education and workforce development
  • Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and national IPC guidelines
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital education tools
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Australian Driver's Licence
