Job Description

- Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Conducting credit checks for potential new accounts
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts by phone and email.
- Maintain accurate records and update account information as needed.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Assist in month-end reporting related to accounts receivable.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding account queries.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Receivable Officer should have:

- Previous experience in an accounts receivable or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Formal qualifications in accounting or finance are advantageous.
