▷ Urgent Search: Maintenance Officer

To continue the upkeep of our facility and grounds across our Alice Springs Aged Care facilities, new opportunities have become available for experienced Maintenance Officer to join the team across the NT – Nhulunbuy, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Mutitjulu and Docker River regions. This role will see you providing Handyman, Maintenance and gardening and grounds services within our Aged Care Facilities.
This position is being offered on a full-time basis working 38 hours per week at a salary from $33.22 / hour gross base (dependent on qualifications and experience)
This role will see you undertake a range of generalist handy person duties to keep our facilities in the best condition possible. This includes handyman duties such as paining, fillers etc and grounds maintenance including mowing, whipper snipping, weeding etc. You will also provide support and guidance for external contracts who are on site to support the facility.
This opportunity will suit a person who is proactive and leads by example. You will have previous experience in a maintenance or handy man environment and be able to commit to full-time hours. In addition, you will be comfortable working within an Aged Care facility and interacting respectfully with our residents.
Skills & experience:
To be considered for this role, we would be looking at applications that hold the following experience and skills:
- Hold a relevant minimum Certificate III with 2 years of relevant employment OR Certificate IV OR Minimum 3 years relevant employment experience in a trade/building maintenance or handy man role.
- Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Competent in the use of hand/power tools and light machinery.
- Sound understanding of A/C, plumbing, electrical & fire systems.
- Ability to reflect on own performance and seek guidance when required
