Position Overview
The Building & Property Maintenance Coordinator will support the Director of Operations in managing the Council's fixed assets, ensuring that our asset management system is current and effectively maintained. This role involves coordinating repairs and maintenance for all properties while developing a proactive annual maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all the Council's minor assets and assess their viability within the asset management system.
- Organise and oversee repairs and maintenance for buildings and houses, providing necessary information and updates to relevant managers.
- Ensure all properties are well-presented and safe for occupancy.
- Engage and coordinate with external contractors to ensure timely completion of work.
- Conduct housing inspections for staff, including ingoing and outgoing assessments.
- Manage online maintenance requests and ensure timely responses.
- Lead the Council's Aerodrome Contracts, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and managing expenditures.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Director of Council Operations.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential
- A relevant Qualifications or a Proven extensive experience in managing assets and maintenance of buildings and physical works.
- Qualifications or experience in managing contracts.
- A Valid Certification as an Aerodrome Reporting Officer and willingness to maintain this essential certification.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating a range of assets including planning, repairs, and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking Aerodrome contracts and its maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to write standard correspondence and reports
- Ability to review and streamline practices ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place that are suitable for the Council's needs.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with Council management, staff, and contractors to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ability to identify, assess and deliver viable solutions in a professional and timely manner
- Ability to use a range of software programs.
Desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of procurement practices and legislative requirements.
- Good working knowledge of Work, Health & Safety.

- Criminal History Check (recent, within 3 months)
- A current Working with Children's Card (Ochre Card)
- A current unrestricted Drivers Licence
- Aerodrome Reporting Officer skill set (AVISS00053)
