As the Community Care Finance & Compliance Coordinator, you will play a central role in ensuring the operational, financial, and compliance integrity of our Community Services programs. Reporting directly to the Director of Community Services, this position provides critical oversight and support to program staff across the region. You will coordinate financial reporting, oversee internal compliance processes, and help ensure that VDRC meets funding, audit, and service delivery requirements. This role is key to maintaining accountability and transparency across all areas of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide effective compliance, asset, and administrative support across all Community Services programs.
- Coordinate the preparation of accurate quarterly and annual financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitor compliance with funding agreements, consumer service plans, and participant agreements.
- Maintain up-to-date records and registers for clients, suppliers, stock, and financial transactions.
- Support internal and external audits and implement improvements identified through review processes.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure staff training, induction, and compliance records are current.
- Monitor and process Centre pay deductions and consumer financial contributions.
- Assist in managing payroll inputs, timesheets, and leave requests for community-based staff.
- Liaise with the Grants Manager to monitor expenditure and prepare financial acquittals.
- Support procurement activities, ensuring purchases align with funding and compliance guidelines.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and accountability within the Community Services team.
- Degree or Certificate IV qualification in accounting, business management, or related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Proven experience in financial administration, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments.
- Demonstrated understanding of governance, risk management, and WHS principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial management systems.
- Experience in community services, local government, or funded program environments.
- Knowledge of Aged Care or NDIS financial reporting frameworks.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following:

- Degree in a related discipline or CERT IV qualifications in accounting/business management.
- Extensive experience in administrative coordination and compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- Commitment to inclusivity and respect for cultural diversity.
- Willingness to travel to remote communities as required.

- A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
