The role

Cockburn Cement’s Sales and Marketing team based at our Munster operation is responsible for providing supply chain services for the safe and sustainable distribution of our Lime & Cement products, predominantly to the mining and construction industries, throughout Western Australia. Key to our success is the provision of timely and responsive customer services for which a unique opportunity now exists to join our diverse team.

As Customer Service Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support. You will be responsible for fostering a customer-centric culture and implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.

This is a permanent full time role based in Munster, WA

Responsibilities

- Receiving and processing bulk and packaged product orders
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Proactive approach to CoR and ensure all parties in the supply chain adhere to current legislation
- Liaise with carriers to ensure timely and cost efficient deliveries for both bulk and packaged products to meet customer expectations
- Ensure procedures, work instructions and Cockburn Cement standards are followed and up to date
- Monitor bulk customer silo levels
- General administration functions

What you will need to succeed

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience and knowledge of customer service in the bulk transport / mining / building and construction industries
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work a rotational weekend roster and across dual locations when required – Kwinana and Munster
- A high level of computer literacy, including data entry
- A strong desire to continuously improve processes
- Experience in SAP will be an advantage
