Our client Rockingham Tourism is building its casual Customer Service Officer pool and is looking for enthusiastic, flexible people to be the welcoming face of our city.

This is a dynamic casual role where you'll provide vital support, primarily based in the Visitor Information Centre. You will be ready to jump in and help cover busy periods, events, and staff leave.

What You'll Be Doing (The Fun Stuff)

  • Be a Rockingham Ambassador: Greet and engage with visitors providing comprehensive information on local tours, attractions, accommodation, and events.
  • Retail & Bookings: Process sales for tourism products, merchandise, and manage bookings for local tours and experiences.
  • Information Hub: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the region and ensure all resources (brochures, maps) are current and well-presented.
  • Team Support: Provide general administrative assistance to keep the Visitor Centre running smoothly.
  • Create Memories: Ensure every visitor has a positive and memorable experience of Rockingham.

What We're Looking For

  • Friendly & Engaged: A genuine passion for customer service and interacting with people from all walks of life.
  • Flexible Availability: Ready to work varied hours, including weekends and public holidays, often with short notice to meet operational demands.
  • Local Knowledge: A good understanding of Rockingham's attractions (or a strong desire to learn quickly). Experience in tourism, retail, or hospitality is highly regarded.
  • Organised: Strong communication, time management, and administrative skills.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Point-of-Sale (POS) software.
