Are you an experienced payroll professional who wants to join a dynamic team? Our client, a well-regarded Sydney council, is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join their Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, delivering accurate payroll, and contributing to process improvements.
Job Details
- Location: Central location in Sydney
- 12 months contract, Asap start
- $60 per hour plus super, 35 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule in line with legislation, awards, and policies.
- Conduct payroll reconciliations and audits to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain employee records, leave balances, and superannuation.
- Support system upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Experience with TechOne highly desired
- Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally in a government environment
- Excellent knowledge of local government legislations & awards
- Demonstrated ability to manage small projects involving detailed analysis and reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and high Excel proficiency.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
