Adelaide Region SA, Australia St Andrew’s Hospital Full time

**Why St Andrew's?**
We are more than Australia's largest standalone private hospital with a reputation for excellence in patient care. We're a community, a working family. It's where everyone knows each other, leaders are approachable and patients return to work as volunteers. As summarised in our core values: We care for others. We work together. We deliver excellence. That's the St Andrew's way.

**About this role**
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic clinical leader to join our team in the position of Associate Director of Nursing - Wards and Privacy. As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will provide leadership and oversight of our non-procedural nursing teams. As a key member of the Nursing Executive group, you will also collaboratively manage resources and contribute to strategic improvement projects aimed at enhancing the quality of patient care and safety.

**About our Team**
In exchange, we offer the opportunity to work alongside a highly dedicated and experienced team of clinical leaders. Our Director of Nursing, Jacquie, loves coaching and supporting her team to grow and develop their leadership capability. She is a kind, decisive leader who is dedicated to ensuring each and every one of our patients receive exceptional care.

In this role you will also work alongside Dale, our Assistant Director of Nursing, Procedural Areas. Dale's leadership style is collaborative and inclusive - he genuinely values and cares for his team, and enjoys opportunities to innovate to achieve best practice patient care. The team of Clinical Managers and Hospital Coordinators that you will lead are also truly exceptional people. Every day they work collaboratively to lead their teams to deliver exceptional care.

**Reasons to love this job**
1. Leading a highly experienced, passionate team of clinical leaders
2. Being supported to develop through on the job coaching and mentoring, and formal studies where desired
3. Working within a standalone, independent Hospital with ready and regular access to on site executives and the opportunity to effect change efficiently

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Sound experience at a Clinical Manager / NUM level at an acute care hospital, preferably within the private sector
- Experience in coaching and mentoring others, as a 'leader of leaders' who is trusted to guide and support best practice clinical and people leadership
- A commitment to delivering the highest standards of clinical and customer focused care
- An effective change agent, with the ability to maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders both within and outside of the organisation
- Critical thinking skills, business acumen and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management and organisation skills and ability to cope well under pressure
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- A working knowledge of NSQHS Standards

**Rewards at St Andrew's**
When our staff come to work, they are surrounded by friendly, supportive leaders, engaged team mates, and great facilities. We know that happy employees provide the best care, so we focus strongly on ensuring the wellbeing and engagement of our staff, including:

- flexible rostering practices, enabling staff to nominate their shift preferences to fit with their personal commitments
- a range of wellbeing programs and opportunities, including an on site gym, personalised support for employees experiencing mental health challenges and fortnightly wellbeing tips
- additional learning and development opportunities including scholarships for fully funded post-graduate studies
- a focus on supporting the health and safety of our workforce through dedicated WHS specialists, programs and locally based staff health and safety representatives in all areas.

**Opportunities to Grow**
As a large, standalone Hospital, we offer opportunities to work across a wide range of specialities, and our Executive Team are located on site, enabling them to interact with staff daily to understand challenges and opportunities. To offer the best, you need to be the best, which is why we provide great opportunities to further your training and development across all roles within the Hospital.
