Maintenance / Stores Supervisor

Stirling Hospital is a non-for-profit private hospital that has been providing healthcare to the local community for almost 100 years. It is located 15 minutes from the CBD in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. The Hospital provides a range of speciality services from paediatrics to our more senior patients and everyone in between.

We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance / Stores Supervisor. This is a full-time position.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

· Overseeing both the Stores and Maintenance departments

· Ensuring adequate levels of stock are available

· Maintaining and scheduling preventative maintenance

· Liaising with relevant contractors and supervision of onsite attendances

· Supporting the team to deliver high quality services

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • A relevant trade or engineering qualification (highly regarded)
  • Work Health and Safety knowledge and a commitment to keeping yourself and others safe
  • Previous experience with managing staff and contractors

  • Ability to lead and delegate tasks to the team

  • Working knowledge of regulatory preventative maintenance requirements for a hospital environment (highly regarded)

  • Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills

  • Proficient in use of MS Office Suite

  • Problem solving skills
  • Experience in a medical and or stores environment (highly regarded)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to emerging needs

Essential requirements include:

  • Driver's licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Satisfactory Working with Children certificate prior to employment
  • Australian citizen or current VISA
  • Successful pre-employment check
