Melbourne, Australia Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Full time

**Job no**: V13959
**Work type**: Fixed Term Full Time
**Location**: Melbourne
**Categories**: Strategy & Policy

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with the 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for Australia’s 870,000+ registered health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications, and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

**Why do we need this role?**

Engaging with our diverse stakeholders to build trust and confidence in us as the national health practitioner regulator is a key priority for us. In Victoria, we are looking to further our work with health sector and community stakeholders and you might be the person to help us.

This is a full-time, fixed term role of approximately 12 months, with a combination of office days and work from home - the best of both worlds

Ahpra requires all employees to comply with Ahpra policies, which includes the Flexible working policy**.**

**Who are we looking for?**

Working in the Victorian and National Ahpra office, this high volume role within Ahpra’s Engagement function is a key intersection between the 500+ people in the Ahpra Melbourne office and the complex Victorian health sector.

We are looking for an individual with a strong interest in stakeholder engagement and community outreach to take on our Engagement Liaison Officer role. You will use this passion to actively develop and maintain ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will collaborate closely with the Victorian State Manager in this dynamic role. Highly motivated and personable, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to deliver our Ahpra Engagement Strategy, and to understand what our community needs from Ahpra and the National Boards.

You will be a good listener with skills in time management, project coordination, facilitation, and engagement. We are seeking someone who provides excellence in service delivery, engages widely, and will actively contribute to the positive culture of the Melbourne office.

You embody our values of Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Achievement, which in turn builds on the trust and credibility you will develop with key stakeholders. This will allow you to continue growing and developing in the engagement space.

This role is yours to own, working with people committed to the protection of the public through empathetic regulation of 16 registered health professions across 15 National Boards.

Our new Melbourne office, located on the land of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People, is a purpose-built office centrally located in the QV building. Offering a fresh modern space with natural light, plants, and workspaces designed to suit different work styles and needs, we are excited to settle into our new space. You will be part of a national organisation with offices and opportunities to collaborate with colleagues in each of Australia's capital cities.

We are proud to have a friendly and supportive working culture that encourages genuine work/life balance and flexibility. We have a hybrid blend of work from home and office based - the best of both worlds to encourage collaboration within our teams.

Your health and well-being are important - we offer discounts on Health Insurance (Medibank), annual flu vaccinations, and provide access to an Employee Assistance Program.

- Applications must be submitted by 11.30pm AEST on Sunday 8 September 2024
