**About the Role**
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Leadership Giving and Engagement team at the University of Melbourne. As the Leadership Giving Officer, you will actively manage a portfolio of prospective and current donors, with a focus on securing gifts in the range of $10,000 to $100,000. This role offers the chance to work with a dynamic team, engage with senior-level staff and donors, and help bridge the gap in the University's giving program.

The Leadership Giving Officer is a crucial role within the University of Melbourne Advancement team, responsible for building a new community of leadership giving donors. Reporting to the Head of Leadership Giving and Engagement, the Officer will collaborate effectively with colleagues across Advancement and in the Faculty clusters to engage donors and increase the overall pool of donors to the University. This role fits in the context of the organisation's strategic plan to grow and diversify its donor base, and to secure gifts that will enable the University to continue its leadership in research and education.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Build and maintain a portfolio of 100-130+ current and prospective alumni donors, with a focus on the cultivation and solicitation of new gifts, renewals and upgrades in line with agreed priorities.
- Achieve goals and metrics related to donor meetings, moves that strengthen / advance relationships, solicitations, gifts and other critical KPIs.
- Access and use templated tools, cases, proposals, gift agreements and correspondence to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare written funding proposals and donor correspondence, as required.

**Who we are looking for**

You will also have:

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience in Relationship Management or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training as per the current Enterprise Agreement classifications.
- Previous experience of soliciting gifts for fundraising initiatives, with a proven track record of success, or equivalent experience in a related relationship-development role that results in meeting and exceeding income KPIs.
- Proven success in meeting activity metrics, ideally related to leadership gift fundraising proposals and donor visits.
