**About - Faculty of Business and Economics**

Since 1924, the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne has been preparing students for challenging and fulfilling careers in various industries. **About - Dilin Duwa Centre for Indigenous Business Leadership**

The Dilin Duwa Centre for Indigenous Business Leadership is a recently established center that aims to promote and enhance Indigenous business leadership. It is a collaborative effort between the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) and Melbourne Business School Ltd (MBSL). The center's primary objective is to contribute to the University's goal of nurturing 1000 Indigenous business leaders by 2025. This initiative encompasses a wide range of activities, including research, undergraduate and postgraduate education, executive training, and community involvement, across FBE and MBS.

**About the Role**

The role of the Administration and Events Officer, under the guidance of the Executive Officer, entails collaborating with team members and relevant parties to facilitate the advancement and execution of projects and programs within the Dilin Duwa portfolio. Their primary responsibility is to provide professional and accurate administrative assistance, ensuring the seamless delivery of these initiatives.

Moreover, the Administration and Events Officer is expected to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. They are also required to develop a comprehensive understanding of Dilin Duwa's relationships, priorities, and projects in order to effectively contribute to the organization's objectives.

Responsibilities include:

- Provide general administrative support such as arranging building access, IT and equipment for new staff and visitors, and ordering stationery and equipment supplies.
- Prepare and process invoices, reimbursements, reconciliation of purchasing cards, code corporate credit card statements, prepare standard contracts, and monitor event income and expenditure against budgets.
- Ensure stakeholders such as students, participants, presenters, sponsors, the University, and external funding agencies receive information in a timely manner and are provided with support.
- Support the Centre team in coordinating the delivery of programs and events in collaboration with relevant professional and academic staff and third-party providers.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you would possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to provide exceptional customer service to stakeholders. You should also demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, a proactive and collaborative approach, along with adaptability and problem-solving skills, would be highly valued in this role.

You will also have:

- Completion of a diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience, (or completion of a certificate level qualification with work experience), or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with a range of people across all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully providing administrative support, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-changing work environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the coordination of high-quality events, courses and/or other public programs, providing exceptional customer service to a diverse range of clients.
